There is bad blood between the Steelers and Antonio Brown. In their last game they have benched their long-time wide receiver star as he clashed with Big Ben and a number of players.
Because of this, it is reported that the Steelers might not be able to resolve the situation and instead of turning next season into another Bell distraction, they would rather trade the superstar while he still have lots of value left.
This will be confirmed and finalized before March 13 because after that date Antonio Brown is eligible for a $5 million dollar bonus that the team is trying to avoid.
By trading Brown the Steelers are on the hook for a $21 million cap hit next year which accounts for 8-10% of the team’s salary cap.
Steelers coach Mike Tomlin on the other side have denied these rumours.
