    Me: ‘LeBron never lost in the first round. Is not even getting there better than getting there and losing?’

    Jordan fan: ‘But being undefeated in the finals makes him better.’

    Me: ‘Is Tom Brady the greatest quarterback ever?’

    Jordan fan: ‘Yes.’

    Me: ‘But he lost in the Super Bowl twice, so by your logic wouldn’t Joe Montana be the greatest since he was undefeated in the Super Bowl?’

    Jordan fan: ‘MJ has more rings, period.’

    Me: ‘Bill Russell has more rings, so wouldn’t he be the greatest then?’

    Jordan fan: ‘He played in a different era. Not the same thing.’

    Me: ‘Robert Horry played in the same era as Jordan and he has more rings. So is he the greatest?’

    Jordan fan: ‘Jordan played against tougher competition.’

    Me: ‘LeBron played against hall of famers like Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Allen Iverson, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, James Harden, etc. He also took out the 73-9 Warriors who are the greatest regular season team ever, and now has to face a team with 5 all stars by himself.’

    Jordan fan: ‘Jordan’s team was drafted, he didn’t have to leave to win championships.’

    Me: ‘Chicago was a large market team in the ‘90s and the Cavs were the epitome of small market until LeBron got there, and Dan Gilbert was the worst owner in sports. So he had to leave to win. And he still came back and brought the city of Cleveland it’s only championship in 40+ years.’

    Jordan fan: ‘LeBron had great teammates around him like Wade Bosh and Kyrie.’

    Me: ‘Jordan had Pippen who is a top 20-30 player all time, and even led the Bulls to the Eastern Conference Finals when Jordan was retired. He also had Kerr who is one of the greatest shooters ever, and played with a top rebounder in Dennis Rodman. Oh, and Phil Jackson is the greatest basketball coach who ever lived. 3 out of 4 LeBron championships were won with first year coaches. And when LeBron left the Cavs, they were the worst team in the league and number one in the draft lottery.’

    Jordan fan: ‘Jordan won an NCAA Championship.’

    Me: ‘Jordan had to do that to earn his draft position. LeBron was so good that he didn’t even need to go to college. He was the most hyped player to ever enter the NBA.’

    Jordan fan: ‘Jordan was more clutch and more of a killer.’

    Me: ‘LeBron has more game winners in the postseason than Jordan and Kobe combined.’

    Jordan fan: ‘Well that’s because they never let it get to that point.’

    Me: ‘Make up your damn mind.’

    Me: ‘LeBron built his own school, sends thousands of kids to college and his shoes are also among the highest selling for Nike.’

    Jordan fan: ‘LeBron is a flopper.’

    Me: ‘Jordan once had a newspaper ad all about how much he cried from being abused on the court by the bad boy Pistons. And in today’s NBA, getting the call is a smart play. Kobe used to flop a lot as well.’
