The shotput shoes you need for the spin technique should have a hard rubberized sole. This will allow for enough traction, but does not apply to much friction to the ground to slow you down. Another thing you need to remember is that the shoe should be molded so that you can stay on the balls of your feet.

Shotput shoes for the spin technique must have the right fit and at least have some additional fastening straps other than just the shoe laces.
