The Colts are the Super Bowl XLI champions coasting to a 29 – 17 victory amidst the pathetic game displayed by Rex Grossman against Peyton’s smart cautious moves in the game.
The Chicago Bears started the game strong with a 7 – 0 advantage via Devin Hester. They continued their onslaught until the end of the second quarter leading the Colts 16 – 14.
The Colts tigthened up their defense and with Rex Grossman making pathetic passes and plays in the third quarter, the Bears found it very difficult to regain their lead.
Rex Grossman opened the fourth quarter with a weak pass that resulted in a Colts interception and TD. This game was supposed to be the legacy of Peyton Manning but as it turned out it became the biggest historic mediocre game for Rex Grossman.

Below is a quarter by quarter game recap:
1st Quarter
The Chicago Bears started strong with Devin Hester kickoff for 92 yards on a TD scoring the first seven points for the Bears. Peyton Manning retaliated with a pass to Reggie Wayne towards the middle for 53 yard gain making the score 6 – 7 after they failed the 2 point attempt.
The humiliated Rex Grossman passed to Muhsin Muhammad for a 4 yard gain making the score 6 – 14 in favor of the Bears.
Second Quarter
The Colts came roaring back with a 29-yard kick from Adam Vinatieri to close the gap to 9 -14. Dominic Rhodes rushed for a 1 yard gain and Adam Vinatieri made a PAT to make the score 16 – 14.
3rd Quarter
Adam Vinatieri seems unstoppable with a 24-yard kick to make the score 19 – 14, giving the Colts their first lead of the game.
The game is now controlled by the Colts as Adam Vinatieri added to their lead with a 20-yard kick for a 22 – 14 Colt advantage. The Chicago Bears refused to give this game up as Robbie Gould kicked a 44-yard field goal for a 22 – 17 score.
4th Quarter
Rex Grossman made another error as Kelvin Hayden intercepted the pass for a touchdown, score 29 – 17 as Adam Vinatieri completed a PAT.
