There is No One to Challenge Roger Federer as He Could Coast Past Sampras
Roger Federer did not sweat in capturing his tenth Grand Slam singles title by winning without losing a set and finishing off Fernando Gonzalez—7-6 (2), 6-4, 6-4.
The win moved him into 5th place of all time Grand Slam winners and would just need 4 more to tie Pete Sampras with the most Grand Slam titles in tennis singles player history.
Who can stop Federer?
That is a question that none of today’s set of players can answer. The numbers are mind boggling.
Roger Federer is by far today’s’ most dominating tennis player having ranked number 1 in the world for 156 consecutive weeks. He is only 25 years-old who has improved his winning streak to 36 and is the first man to win three straight majors. He has accomplished the old record of Bjorn Borg set 27-years ago, by winning a major without losing any set; Ken Rosewall have also won the same feat in the Australian Open 36 years ago.
Roger Federer is improving continuously and he is most likely to win his first French Open this year and he might tie Pete Sampras for the record. The way Roger is playing right now, only injury could prevent him from dominating once again.
