This fight made me realise how much the fan based has changed. Alot of people nowadays would be booing if they saw gsp taking matt serra to the ground and controlling him even though it is a major factor in mma. I guess people back then were actual mma fans compare to casuals who just know big names and only care for stand up fights

The GOAT. No one else compares to GSP, no scandals, belts in two weight classes. Ended his career on top. Only guys that come close is Anderson and Jones, but their PED violations tarnish their legacy.

I wonder why
My god, this GSP beats anyone p4p imo. Not an ounce of fat on him, incredible physique. A lot of strong guys you see have chicken legs like Jon Jones, not GSP. His wrestling was S tier, his striking was solid and so was his ju jitsu. Besides all of that he has incredible fight IQ. Look at how he controls Serra against the cage not allowing him to get up, slowly whittling him down. You can see 4 minutes in Serra is gasping for breath already.
Who else is comparable wrestling wise, Khabib, Ben Askren? Neither of them have the physique prime GSP has. We saw Khabib struggle against Al Laquinta who is a strong guy but lets be honest, his wrestling isnt as good as GSP.
I firmly believe that GSP could STILL return and smash Khabib to pieces. But UFC won't make that fight because understandably they dont want to have their undefeated "money draw" lose to GSP when GSP might retire again after beating him.

It's really a shame. This fight pretty much proves the first one was fluke. Serra truly wasn't GSPs better in this era. We never got to see one. He retired before we could. Usman and Tyron would have gave him problems. Lawler too probably.
