Whenever I watch these… I somehow imagine ancient people stepping out of time, be they Greeks or Romans, Huns or Mongols, Nordmenn or Saxons, whoever throughout the ages, frozen and captivated by the spectacle… and I feel like, regardless of the gloves, colors, ads, and all modern touches, this distilling of one on one, hand to hand combat would be instantly recognizable to human beings throughout all time, across all cultures. It's like some ancient universal language, watching men test themselves in a fight. Fight Motion really puts that essence of combat into focus, perhaps because it's stripped of the noise and announcers and it functions more like your internal recollections of watching combat and participating in a fight… definitely has something to do with manipulating the time and speed with which we watch it, though. And probably, the music… they got that right. ? …and I usually also feel this particular memory, with my head down, suddenly seeing a knee enter the left frame out of nowhere and come crashing into my jaw, with that flash of "light" when you get hit in the head hard… it happened so fast, but it replays in slow motion… ? (lol… no, no KO… probably why I still remember it… ? never been KO'd, only choked out ?)

Makes me appreciate just how tough and brave these folk are, who get in the ring and throw hands. The sheer willpower to not just curl up into a ball the first time someone cracks you around the side of the head is incredible and something we all take for granted.
