Kevin Durant Injury in Game 5 is Painful to Watch

in NBA

Kevin Durant started hot with 11 points in the first quarter of play and when everything seems to be going right for him, he started to hobble and came down with 9:46 on the clock.

People believed Durant has aggravated his calf-injury suffered around four weeks back. To see a player comeback and bring life to a team struggling to remain in the NBA Finals 2019 and then come going down with another injury is painful to watch. Please get well Kevin Durant, this time fully recovered before stepping on the floor again.,

Kevin Durant Cleared for Sunday Practice Questionable for Game 5

in NBA

It has been a long wait for all the fans since Kevin Durant was injured against the 2nd round of the playoffs vs the Houston Rockets.

A strained calf injury believed to heal in a few days has lasted a month and the Warriors are deeply missing him and trying to climb out of a 1-3 NBA Finals deficit.

It is now reported that Kevin Durant has been cleared for practice and joined the team on Sunday 6/9/2019 in the hopes that he can play in Game 5 of the NBA Finals 2019.

Steve Kerr has this to say on Kevin Durant practice:

“Yeah, He’s doing more today, and we’ll know more after that.”

Kerr response if Kevin is going to play on Game 5:

“It’s feasible. But again, it’s really a day-to-day thing. If we had a crystal ball, we would have known a long time ago what we were dealing with. It’s just an injury; there’s been a lot of gray area. So literally it’s just day to day and how the progress is coming.”

Kevin Durant is officially listed as questionable for Game 5 but we will know his status later today.

Stephen Curry Says No One Feels Sorry for Them

in NBA

Stephen Curry is keeping it real and he understand people will not feel sorry for them. 28 of the 30 teams has never and might never be able to achieve what their team have achieved, 5 consecutive Finals appearance and this amount of success has beaten a long of teams and hurt a lot of fans.

“Nobody’s going to feel sorry for us at all. It’s just a matter of can we get it done or not, and we’re going to leave it all out there starting on Monday.” – Stephen Curry

I agree that people is not going to feel sorry for them, but not all. The Warriors fans, the people behind the sold out arena feel the pain of every loss, of being down 1-3. The fans is still there and will be supporting.

Stephen Curry Believe despite down 1-3 vs Raptors

in NBA

The Golden State Warriors wasn’t probably expecting a 1-3 deficit against the Toronto Raptors. But it Happened before the sea of Gold at the Oracle Arena.

Despite of this Curry still believe they can and will take one game at a time.

“It’s not over. It’s not a good feeling right now, obviously, but like you said, we have been on both sides of it. And for us, it’s an opportunity for us to just flip this whole series on its head, and you’ve got to do it one game at a time.” – Stephen Curry

Watching the Warriors in Game 4 you would see lapses here and there, they maintained the lead in the first two quarters but couldn’t sustain the intesity on defense, looseball and hustles throughout the game. Curry says they will give everything for 48 minutes

The only way we’re going to get back in this series is give everything we’ve got for 48 minutes, everybody that sets foot on that floor in Game 5. In our locker room we’re talking about believing, everybody out there believe that we can get this done.

The Warriors has been tested time and again in their five straight Finals appearances and this is going to be the toughest to date.

We surely want to see the Warriors go back to the Oracle Arena one last time.

Stephen Curry Delivered NBA Finals MVP Numbers Not Enough in Game 3

Stephen Curry was brilliant from the opening buzzer until the remaining minutes of the 4th quarter as he delivered NBA Finals MVP numbers with 47 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists, and 2 steals.

His monstrous effort however was not enough to win against the Toronto Raptors in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. Curry was playing with a depleted lineup as Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Kevin Looney are all injured and didn’t play. He had little help from his team as only Green and Iguodala scored in double figures 17 and 11 respectively.

Curry did everything he can making plays, hitting the big shot, hustling and diving for loseballs but Green’s intensity was not there, the perimeter defense to stop the outside shooting of the Raptors did not rotate fast enough.

On a positive note, the Warriors was always in striking distance of only trailing between 7 and 13 points throughout the game.

Even if KD, KT and KL comeback and the Warrios win the title, Curry winning Game 2 for the Warrios and tonight’s performance is enough for him to win the NBA Finals MVP award.
