I'm an old timey Warrior fan since 1958…they weren't even in San Francisco at the time. I had supreme confidence that the GSW would win. There was absolutely never a doubt in my mind. Out of brazen cockiness…and perhaps a degree of stupidity…I predicted a GSW sweep over the Bullets in 1975. Okay…I did this to irritate the Bullet fans too. Even with 65 wins under their belts…I was reminded that 1975 GSW limped out of the gate after the NBA ALL-STAR game a little 500%. But GSW caught fire. The rest was history. A 4-0 sweep over the heavily favored Bullets with the BIGG "E", Wes Unseld, and Phil Che ier. Bird and the 1986 Celtics demonstrated that same kind of Supreme Confidence.

This game might be the greatest example of championship mentality I’ve ever seen. Warriors were down 17 at one point and never lost focus or gave up. They just hung around in the game and went on their typical 3rd quarter championship run to send Houston home. Steph, KD, Klay & Draymond looked so calm and extremely focused. Once Houston gave up the lead they freaked out and lost confidence. That to me is what winning championships is all about.
