The Portland Blazers fought hard throughout the game even leading by as much as 17 points towards the end of the third quarter, however the Warriors with their Championship composure managed to climb back and win 119-117 in Overtime.

Draymond Green explains their basketball mindset — “We just really understand what we’re capable of on both sides of the basketball . We’re never out of the fight. That’s just always our mindset.”

The Warriors is the first team since the Celtics in 1950s to make it to five straight NBA Finals and were able to do it despite having three star players sideline due to injury — Kevin Durant, DeMarcus Cousins, Andre Iguodala.

Green scored 18 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists, while Curry put in 37 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists.

Damian Lillard, who tried to lead his team and earlier said someone will eventually comeback from a 3-0 deficit, scored 28 points and 12 assists for Portland. He had a chance to send the game into 2nd overtime but missed a 3-point attempt as the buzzer. Meyers Leonard scored a career-high 30 points and 12 rebounds.

Blazers coach Terry Stotts expected Lillard for a buzzer-beating 3-pointer — “Yeah, I did. I thought it was going to — kind of meant to be, when he shot it, it had a good arc. I thought it had a chance.”

The Warriors will face the winner of the Milwaukee Bucks Vs Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals.
