  1. The cowboys just need to copy the titans playbook, just pound the rock and set up playaction simple yet effective don't do anything fancy control the clock wear down the defence then watch the holes open up in the 4th.

  2. Another night of hollow stats from Dak Prescott (266 YP but only 17 points, and falling short again in the clutch in the opening loss to the Rams) might be convincing Jerry Jones he was wise to wait on giving Dak the big contract extension he was seeking. (Don’t feel sorry for Prescott, making a cool $31 mill on the franchise tag this fall.) No evidence yet of upgrades in Mike McCarthy’s Cowboys offense compared to the Jason Garrett version he replaced, either, and the thought persists that Dallas remains overpriced and overvalued. The pressure is also going to be on Dak to outscore a potent Atlanta strike force that saw three wideouts (Julio Jones, Calvin Rdley, and Russell Gage) catch 100 yards or more worth of Matt Ryan’s throws last week vs. Seattle, though the Falcons kept shooting themselves in the foot as their many 4th-down gambles (failed 0 for 4!). Off of a 450-yard aerial show last week, Matt Ryan can trade points, and remember Falcs won and covered their last four on the road a year ago.

  3. Can’t dink and dope like McVay did against Dallas. McVay had a gameplan and executed it flawlessly. He took away the great pass rushers and gashed the middle. Dallas figured it out but it was to late. Atlanta’s dropbacks plays into the Dallas scheme.

For Dallas to win, they need to jump ahead of Atlanta and protect Dak better than they did against the Rams. Otherwise it’ll turn into a shootout and Atlanta is built for shootouts.
